Sharjah, is the only Emirate to have a coastline, on both the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. It was also crowned by UNESCO in 1998 as the ‘Cultural Capital of the Arab World’, due to its commitment to art, culture and to the preserving of its heritage.
Sharjah Cultural Square is one of the most impressive sights in the UAE, surrounded on all sides by rich Islamic architecture, and dominated by an awe-inspiring sculpture of the Holy Quran. The Square is home to the Ahmed Bin Hanbal Mosque, the Cultural Centre, the Diwan Al Amiree and the exquisite municipal secretariat, Sharjah City Hall.

The Eye of the Emirates is among the most prominent and outstanding features of Qanat Al Qasba. The Eye of the Emirates observatory wheel, stands 60-metres high with 42 fully air-conditioned gondolas, offering stunning panoramic views of Sharjah and Dubai.
Shopping in Sharjah? Blue Souk springs to mind! The legendary Blue Souk is the most famous souk in Sharjah and is a definite destination for all shoppers. You will find a mixture of shops selling gold, silver, authentic jewellery, precious stones, beautiful modern jewellery, to impressive collections of Oriental carpets and rugs, arts, crafts, attractive ornaments and much more.
The Emirate of Ajman is situated on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, extending over a distance of 16 Kilometers , between the Emirates of Umm Al-Quwain and Sharjah. Ajman is the smallest Emirate of the UAE, but is most talked about when it comes to development in the UAE. Ajman, houses ‘The Emirates City’ which was built from nothing, but now has more than a hundred buildings, a vast number of shopping malls and the best of hotels.
